The feeler wheels take the depth control which is adjustable from the cabin which is
pneumatically supported. Weeds and leafs are grabbed by the feeler wheels what should avoid
the intake of this material by the share and its blockage.
Even in the point of cleaning both harvesters have the same mode of operation
With the help of hydraulically driven transport rollers the beets are carried on a roller unit.
The transport roller’s pre-elected revolution number automatically adapt to the harvesting
speed. The hydraulically driven, adjustable and reversible rollers (3 continuous and 3 stub
rollers) undertake pre-cleaning. By means of a single drive and the portal construction the
front axle free enough space for two screen stars, each 1, 03 m in diameter.
The three screen stars behind are also 1, 30 m in diameter. In total KLEINE indicates a
cleaning line of 12 m length. Both the revolution number of the hydraulically driven screen
stars and the grills can be adjusted to the harvesting conditions. For harder conditions spring
tine grills for the screen stars are available instead of grills if requested.
The ring elevator with a width of 90 cm has plastic tappets and transports the beets in the
bunker with a infinitely adjustable speed. A distribution roller is used for a steady filling. The
bunker of the Compact can be entered through a platform; the Large has a lateral door to be
pushed, together with an integrated stepladder.
The construction of the elevator enables an employment of a system registering data
concerning the crop, but which must, according to KLEINE, still be developed. While the
machine is harvesting this system should already capture important data which might be vital
for the later loading and collection logistic.
The beets will be unloaded over a transport belt 1, 40 m in width and which is infinitely
adjustable in height.
The overloading height amounting to 1, 80 m up to 4, 50 m makes it possible to lay out
clamps 10 m in width. The emptying is supported by the long-scratch floor, and accordingly
the speed of the transporting belt can be adjusted. The time to load the beets into the bunker is
35 s for the Compact, and 45 s for the Large, those values are stated by KLEINE and which
are rather good results.
