Characteristics (Table 35, Figure 27) Plant: dense,<br />

compact, dwarf, evergreen perennial shrub. Stem: erect and<br />

much branched. Internodes: short. Twig: slender with<br />

smooth to slightly scaly bark. Leaf: length small (average<br />

37.13mm), width narrow (average 16.6mm), shape ovate to<br />

elliptical with acuminate to acute apex and obtuse base,<br />

margin undulation strong, glossiness medium. Leaf colour:<br />

mature leaf; abaxial yellow-green (RHS <strong>14</strong>7A), adaxial<br />

green (RHS 137C), partly mature leaf; abaxial yellow-green<br />

(RHS <strong>14</strong>4A), adaxial yellow-green (RHS <strong>14</strong>4C), newly<br />

emerged leaf; abaxial greyed-orange (RHS 175D). (Note:<br />

all RHS colour chart numbers refer to 1995 edition.)
