SSCC-18 is used for encoding the Serial Shipping Container Code. It is used for the unique<br />

identification of trade items world-wide. SSCC-18 is based on the EAN-128 symbology with<br />

Application Identifier (AI) 00. The check digit is encoded automatically if 17 digits are used for the<br />

input data.<br />

The structure of the SSCC-18 is as follows:<br />

� The first two digits represent the Application Identifier (AI). The AI is always ‘00’.<br />

� The next digit is the Packaging Identifier.<br />

� The Packaging Identifier is followed by the ILN (the International Location Number) of the<br />

manufacturer (7 digits).<br />

� The next 9 digits represent the Carton Serial Number.<br />

� The last digit is the check digit.<br />

6.1.74 Singapore Post<br />

The Singapore Post 4 State Customer Code is the same as the RM4SCC.<br />

6.1.75 Telepen Alpha<br />

Symbology number: 32<br />

Valid characters: ASCII characters between 0..127<br />

Quiet zone: n/a<br />

Standard print ratio: 1:3:1:3<br />

Ratio format: 1B:2B:1S:2S<br />

Default check digit: None (eCDNone)<br />

Telepen Alpha is the alphanumeric variant of Telepen.<br />
