This workshop is intended for a beginner level user of SAP who wants to understand the set-up for scheduling and the tools available to support this function. Specific items that will be covered are: • Work center set-up • Leveling the work • Configuration required • Dispatching options, tabular and graphical tools HALF DAY 0 www.sap-centric-eam.com WORKSHOP 2 Planning Maintenance Work in EAM Presenter: Dean Fitt, SAP AG In the Planning Maintenance Work in EAM workshop, Dean Fitt of SAP AG will help attendees better understand options for using master data, notifications, and work orders. This workshop will cover the options available for planning maintenance work using the fields and tools delivered by SAP within master data, the notification, and the work order. At a basic level, discussion will center on fields like catalog profiles and codes, dates, priority, maintenance activity type, revisions, planner groups, work centers, labor, operations, bills of materials, components, production resource tools, reservations, requisitioning, permits, etc. The discussion will help participants develop an understanding of advantages of proper planning using these options to enhance work execution and reporting. WORKSHOP 3 Enhancing the EAM Functionality of SAP without Modification Presenter: Kevin Morrow, SAP labs The standard SAP EAM functionality suits the majority of companies in its vanilla form, but there are occasions where people want to do things a little different. Providing a configurable solution to these infinite combinations of solutions could potentially make customizing even more complex than people perceive it is today. To enable implementation of these customer specific functions SAP provides a number of different mechanisms. As underlying technology has changed over the years so too have the methods of enhancement, each applicable for EAM. This short workshop aims to provide an overview on a live system of the different technologies used to enhance the functionality of SAP in the EAM space. Due to time constraints it is not intended as a “how-to” session, but rather to provide an understanding to the implementation and support team members of what is available and how to find it, and valuable tips and tricks on defining requirements, so they can better communicate requirements to their development counterparts within the projects they are working on. Like the eras preceding it such as the Network Era and the Personal Computing Era, the Mobility Era is changing the way business is conducted. Similar to previous IT eras, it is characterized by large investments and a high degree of innovation in mobile technology. The last five years has seen an explosion in new products, systems, and solutions. This workshop will introduce you to the technology and the applications associated with the Mobile Revolution including mobile computers, wireless networks, RFID technology, and mobile applications. In addition to painting the big picture, there will be break out sessions on each of the different technologies and applications. FuLL DAY FuLL DAY experience EAM System utilization Presenter: Terry Wireman, Vesta Partners — Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi WORKSHOP 9 Calibration for Instrumentation, Metrology and Test Equipment in SAP Presenter: Phil Gillespie, new Dimension Solutions Calibration of process instrumentation and M & TE is a key process — especially in industries with stringent asset management requirements such as life sciences, nuclear power, food and beverage and chemical plants. Historically many companies have continued to use third party products for calibration. This, however, creates usual headaches in terms of interfaces, multiple system log-ons and enterprise visibility issues. This workshop explores the functionality in SAP QM and PM to support this process. What are some of the main reasons for the underutilization and how can these issues be addressed? This workshop will examine a typical implementation flow and highlight the problems that will likely be encountered, as well as how to overcome these problems.
