reporting, and issue resolution related to critical safety

Based Process Safety Framework and how SAP will become an
integral tool.

Improving Fleet Preventative Maintenance

The City of Abbotsford identified that it had considerable administrative
inefficiencies surrounding the manual collection of
odometer readings and operating hours for the fleet. The impact
of inaccurate and missing data has cost the municipality time
and money in wasted management and administration time,

missed maintenance events, premature maintenance events,
and inaccurate data.
In order to improve data collection within the SAP PM module,
the city has introduced a radio-frequency data transfer system
supplied by U-Con systems. The “Wireless Data Modules” plug
directly into the ECM of the vehicles and equipment, and utilizes
RF to capture odometer readings, operating hours and other
critical operating data. The implementation of this system has
allowed the city to ensure securing accurate vehicle data, and
obtaining critical reporting information.

History of Equipment
Presenter: Stephen Erslon, ConocoPhillips
Beginner
Manage and develop equipment history within SAP to capture
history against an asset. ConocoPhillips uses measurement points
to assist in tracking history for mechanical equipment. Through
coding and designing, you can implement a system for your
plant’s reliability group and craftsmen to easily enter data points.
Capturing data within SAP negates the need to use satellite systems
and keeps out information within the legacy system. Learn
how ConocoPhillips developed their measurement points and
how it expects to expand interests to many more types of assets.
