Discussi<strong>on</strong>. In order vegetable <strong>seed</strong>s germinated as evenly <strong>and</strong> quickly as possible,<br />

it is necessary corresp<strong>on</strong>dingly to prepare them for the sowing. One <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the<br />

methods <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>seed</strong> preparati<strong>on</strong> for sowing is <strong>seed</strong> soaking. Seeds <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> some vegetables do<br />

not germinate for a l<strong>on</strong>g time <strong>and</strong> after soaking them in water they germinate so<strong>on</strong>er.<br />

In order to improve vegetable <strong>seed</strong> germinati<strong>on</strong> power <strong>and</strong> to increase yield, their<br />

<strong>seed</strong>s are soaked in plant <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> regulator soluti<strong>on</strong>s. It was established that soaking<br />

celery <strong>seed</strong>s in <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>regulators</str<strong>on</strong>g>, i. e. Giberelin <strong>and</strong> others, they germinate so<strong>on</strong>er<br />

(Brocklehurst et al., 1982). Tomato ant sweet pepper <strong>seed</strong>s processed with plant<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>regulators</str<strong>on</strong>g> also germinate so<strong>on</strong>er <strong>and</strong> more evenly (Andreoli, Khan, 1999).<br />

According to the data <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Lada <strong>and</strong> other scientists (2005), when carrot <strong>seed</strong>s were<br />

soaked in the soluti<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Ambiol, Glycinebetaine <strong>and</strong> Bioprotect 2 <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>regulators</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

their germinati<strong>on</strong> power increased significantly. The data <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> our investigati<strong>on</strong> showed<br />

that not all the investigated plant <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>regulators</str<strong>on</strong>g> positively influenced vegetable<br />

<strong>seed</strong> germinati<strong>on</strong> power. Out <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the investigated <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>regulators</str<strong>on</strong>g>, <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> regulator<br />

Bi<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>orce had the the biggest positive influence <strong>on</strong> <strong>seed</strong> germinati<strong>on</strong> power. When<br />

<strong>seed</strong>s were soaked in it germinati<strong>on</strong> <strong>energy</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> red beet <strong>and</strong> raddish <strong>seed</strong>s increased<br />

10–30 %.<br />

Seed soaking in plant <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g> regulator soluti<strong>on</strong>s not <strong>on</strong>ly improves their germinati<strong>on</strong><br />

power, but also shoots became more luxurant, had str<strong>on</strong>ger roots. Plant <str<strong>on</strong>g>growth</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
