[11] During the afore-mentioned WDM workshop, some time was spent on developing an immediate/medium-term Action Plan. Table 1 lists the topics the Rural Water Supply Section has identified as their main concern (SOPAC, 1999). This list was used to offer a choice of activities SOPAC could provide assistance with. After some discussion it was agreed that work during this mission should concentrate on the Mele/Mele-Maat water supply system as a pilot project to demonstrate WDM principles and methods regarding data acquisition, storage and hydraulic analysis.
