ALL-AMERICAN... Tim Fallon became just
the second Hawk to earn Division I United
States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association
All-American honors when he landed honorable
mention honors. Chris LaMonica, a
goalie, received the same honor in 1997
after posting a record breaking season in
net for Hartford. Fallon was also placed on
the Division I laxpower.com All-American
First Team.
MAKING STRIDES... Head coach Peter
Lawrence guided Hartford to its winningest
season since 2003 which included the program’s
second-straight win over UMBC, a
game that was aired live across the nation on
ESPNU. The Hawks finished the season 4-10
(1-4 America East), losing six games by two
goals or less, including five by a single tally.
NATIONAL STATS... Tim Fallon proved
himself to be one of the top - if not the best
- face-off specialists in the country in 2010.
Averaging 9.4 ground balls-per-game and
winning 207-of-333 duels (62.2-percent),
Fallon closed out his junior season ranked on
top of the NCAA statistics in both categories.
Also cracking the national stats were classmates
Aidan Genik and Ryan Compitello.
Genik ranked 11th nationally in goals-pergame
and Compitello’s 1.5 assists-per-game
put him 25th in the NCAA.
HALFWAY THERE... Three Hawks - Carter
Bender, Ryan Compitello and Aidan Genik
- all surpassed the mid-way mark to
the 100-Point Club during their sophomore

2010 season in review
seasons. Genik leads all active Hawks with
79 points, Compitello has tallied 64 career
points while Bender enters his junior season
with 63 points.
FACING THE BEST... In 14 total games on
the slate for Hartford in 2010, the Hawks
were paired up against five opponents who
were ranked in the NCAA’s Top 25. Hartford
opened the season with No. 17 Massachusetts,
and followed that contest with a matchup
against No. 13 Delaware. The Hawks also
faced Brown (No. 19), Stony Brook (No. 17)
and Fairfield (No. 18) last season.
SECOND FASTEST... Aidan Genik has
compiled 79 points during his two years
at Hartford, leading all active Hawks. The
attackman is on pace to become the second
fastest Hartford player to reach the
100-Point milestone. Brian LaMastro (1999-
2002) is the leader of the club with 269
points, hitting the 100-Point climax mid-way
through his second season with the Hawks.
POSTSEASON HARDWARE... Nine different
players earned America East All-Conference
distinction last season, including a pair of
first team honorees. A pair of freshmen
landed on the all-rookie team while five
other players garnered second team honors.
In addition, the Hawks’ success carried over
into the classroom as 15 student-athletes
earned America East honor roll recognition
and a pair of players were placed on All-
Academic squads.
