ALL-AMERICAN... Tim Fallon became just<br />

the second Hawk <strong>to</strong> earn Division I United<br />

States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association<br />

All-American honors when he landed honorable<br />

mention honors. Chris LaMonica, a<br />

goalie, received the same honor in 1997<br />

after posting a record breaking season in<br />

net for <strong>Hartford</strong>. Fallon was also placed on<br />

the Division I laxpower.com All-American<br />

First Team.<br />

MAKING STRIDES... Head coach Peter<br />

Lawrence guided <strong>Hartford</strong> <strong>to</strong> its winningest<br />

season since 2003 which included the program’s<br />

second-straight win over UMBC, a<br />

game that was aired live across the nation on<br />

ESPNU. The <strong>Hawks</strong> finished the season 4-10<br />

(1-4 America East), losing six games by two<br />

goals or less, including five by a single tally.<br />

NATIONAL STATS... Tim Fallon proved<br />

himself <strong>to</strong> be one of the <strong>to</strong>p - if not the best<br />

- face-off specialists in the country in 2010.<br />

Averaging 9.4 ground balls-per-game and<br />

winning 207-of-333 duels (62.2-percent),<br />

Fallon closed out his junior season ranked on<br />

<strong>to</strong>p of the NCAA statistics in both categories.<br />

Also cracking the national stats were classmates<br />

Aidan Genik and Ryan Compitello.<br />

Genik ranked 11th nationally in goals-pergame<br />

and Compitello’s 1.5 assists-per-game<br />

put him 25th in the NCAA.<br />

HALFWAY THERE... Three <strong>Hawks</strong> - Carter<br />

Bender, Ryan Compitello and Aidan Genik<br />

- all surpassed the mid-way mark <strong>to</strong><br />

the 100-Point Club during their sophomore<br />

seasons. Genik leads all active <strong>Hawks</strong> with<br />

79 points, Compitello has tallied 64 career<br />

points while Bender enters his junior season<br />

with 63 points.<br />

FACING THE BEST... In 14 <strong>to</strong>tal games on<br />

the slate for <strong>Hartford</strong> in 2010, the <strong>Hawks</strong><br />

were paired up against five opponents who<br />

were ranked in the NCAA’s Top 25. <strong>Hartford</strong><br />

opened the season with No. 17 Massachusetts,<br />

and followed that contest with a matchup<br />

against No. 13 Delaware. The <strong>Hawks</strong> also<br />

faced Brown (No. 19), S<strong>to</strong>ny Brook (No. 17)<br />

and Fairfield (No. 18) last season.<br />

SECOND FASTEST... Aidan Genik has<br />

compiled 79 points during his two years<br />

at <strong>Hartford</strong>, leading all active <strong>Hawks</strong>. The<br />

attackman is on pace <strong>to</strong> become the second<br />

fastest <strong>Hartford</strong> player <strong>to</strong> reach the<br />

100-Point miles<strong>to</strong>ne. Brian LaMastro (1999-<br />

2002) is the leader of the club with 269<br />

points, hitting the 100-Point climax mid-way<br />

through his second season with the <strong>Hawks</strong>.<br />

POSTSEASON HARDWARE... Nine different<br />

players earned America East All-Conference<br />

distinction last season, including a pair of<br />

first team honorees. A pair of freshmen<br />

landed on the all-rookie team while five<br />

other players garnered second team honors.<br />

In addition, the <strong>Hawks</strong>’ success carried over<br />

in<strong>to</strong> the classroom as 15 student-athletes<br />

earned America East honor roll recognition<br />

and a pair of players were placed on All-<br />

Academic squads.<br />
