The voluntary training cards provided are<br />

basic routines that follow similar pro<strong>to</strong>cols<br />

you will experience on campus. However, we<br />

have simplified them <strong>to</strong> meet the equipment<br />

you most likely will have available <strong>to</strong> utilize<br />

during the summer training period. When<br />

you come <strong>to</strong> campus you will be exposed <strong>to</strong><br />

the full effects and direction of the strength<br />

and conditioning program.<br />

All student-athletes at the University of <strong>Hartford</strong><br />

will experience mental, and physical,<br />

challenges that will push them well beyond<br />

what each individual thought was possible.<br />

Ultimately, the student-athlete is responsible<br />

for their success or failure. We as coaches<br />

are here <strong>to</strong> provide a training plan, and<br />

guide you.<br />

Following the rules behind the strength and<br />

conditioning program will help you achieve<br />

the <strong>to</strong>p five reasons for training. The training<br />

methods we endorse may be unorthodox,<br />

but they will assure we are both overloading<br />

and being progressive with all training<br />

pro<strong>to</strong>cols.<br />

The strength and conditioning routines at<br />

the University of <strong>Hartford</strong> are brief and intense<br />

out of necessity. Once again, our goal<br />

remains <strong>to</strong> maximize training in the least<br />

amount of time. Make the commitment <strong>to</strong><br />

your team. Have laser-focus on goals. Get<br />

locked in. This unrelenting approach will<br />

make the difference in all phases of training.<br />
