“It’s a little chilly, so I’m<br />
wear<strong>in</strong>g my green fleece<br />
<strong>Chewonki</strong> vest,” Charlie<br />
recounts. “<strong>The</strong> web designer<br />
shows up and sees <strong>the</strong> <strong>Chewonki</strong><br />
emblem and says, ‘Oh! You went<br />
to <strong>Chewonki</strong>? So did I!’ Eliza said<br />
that <strong>Chewonki</strong> was a lifechang<strong>in</strong>g<br />
experience. She’s very<br />
good at what she does and we’re<br />
fortunate to have her here.” Kate<br />
Petersen (boys camp staff ’99–<br />
’00) lives <strong>in</strong> California but “feels<br />
an undeniable pull to move back<br />
to <strong>the</strong> East Coast,” she says. “I<br />
have numerous animal friends,<br />
<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g fel<strong>in</strong>es, can<strong>in</strong>es,<br />

received a master’s degree <strong>in</strong><br />
choral conduct<strong>in</strong>g from <strong>the</strong><br />
University of Oregon and is now<br />
a doctoral candidate at <strong>the</strong><br />
University of Ill<strong>in</strong>ois at Urbana-<br />
Champaign. She got married <strong>in</strong><br />

Perez earned a master’s degree <strong>in</strong><br />

University, where he will be<br />

Madele<strong>in</strong>e Z. Bordallo (Guam),<br />
chair of <strong>the</strong> Subcommittee on<br />
Fisheries, Wildlife, and Oceans.<br />
Meredith Benedict is an <strong>in</strong>vestment<br />
analyst <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> energy<br />

Andy Colbert is happily<br />
married to Dana Schifman<br />
Colbert, liv<strong>in</strong>g on NYC’s Upper<br />
East Side, and work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> healthcare<br />
mergers and acquisitions.<br />
Rosie Dent, who lives <strong>in</strong> Quito,<br />
Ecuador, works as a cl<strong>in</strong>ical trials<br />
monitor. Liz Dyke lives <strong>in</strong><br />
Greenwich, CT, and works at<br />
Greenwich Academy. She<br />
manages to see G<strong>in</strong>ger Walsh<br />
Larsen (MCS 19), who was her<br />
proctor at Deerfield Academy,<br />
often. Mia Farber does outreach,<br />
market<strong>in</strong>g, and public relations<br />
for Pennsylvania’s organic<br />
farmers with <strong>the</strong> Pennsylvania<br />

school students,” says Rebecca,<br />
“which has been fun and chal-<br />
leng<strong>in</strong>g.” L<strong>in</strong>dsey Horton<br />
moved back from <strong>the</strong> Marshall<br />
Islands after three years and<br />
enrolled <strong>in</strong> a program <strong>in</strong> global<br />
environmental health at Emory<br />
University. “I spend most of my<br />
free time study<strong>in</strong>g,” she writes,<br />
“but have also decided to tra<strong>in</strong> for<br />
my first half-marathon and am<br />
work<strong>in</strong>g to start a mentor<strong>in</strong>g<br />
program for high school girls<br />
who are refugees from<br />
Afghanistan, Pakistan, East<br />
Africa, etc.” She and her sister,<br />
Lauren Horton (MCS 29),<br />
recently enjoyed a trip through<br />
Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.<br />
Enyi Koene (advisor) studied for<br />
a graduate degree while enjoy<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>the</strong> local culture <strong>in</strong> Poitiers,<br />
France. Tyler Lewis lives <strong>in</strong><br />
Boston’s South End and works on<br />
<strong>the</strong> trad<strong>in</strong>g floor for Fidelity<br />
Investments “for <strong>the</strong> fixed<strong>in</strong>come<br />
sales people and traders.”<br />
He skis whenever he can. Devon<br />
Liddell won a Fulbright grant to<br />
do research on Moroccan immigration<br />
to sou<strong>the</strong>rn Spa<strong>in</strong> and<br />
hopes to get a Ph.D. <strong>in</strong> anthropology.<br />
Ariane Lotti (boys camp<br />
staff ’01) was an <strong>in</strong>tern with <strong>the</strong><br />
National Susta<strong>in</strong>able Agriculture<br />
Coalition <strong>in</strong> Wash<strong>in</strong>gton, D.C.,<br />
before work<strong>in</strong>g on a<br />
“community-supported agriculture”<br />
farm <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> heart of corn<br />
country <strong>in</strong> Iowa. While <strong>the</strong>re, she<br />
wrote a column for <strong>the</strong> environmental<br />
blog Grist. She is now <strong>in</strong><br />
Wash<strong>in</strong>gton, serv<strong>in</strong>g as a senior<br />
policy analyst at <strong>the</strong> Organic<br />
Farm<strong>in</strong>g Research Foundation,<br />
focused on help<strong>in</strong>g to develop<br />
organic policy positions for Farm<br />
Bill 2012. Will Morris is<br />
f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g up his master’s degree <strong>in</strong><br />
chemical eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g at <strong>the</strong><br />
University of Utah. His research<br />
focuses on oxy-fuel combustion, a<br />
promis<strong>in</strong>g technique for carbon<br />
capture and sequestration.<br />
Megan Nuttall is work<strong>in</strong>g her<br />
way toward a midwifery degree <strong>in</strong><br />
Toronto while also lov<strong>in</strong>g life on<br />
her sheep farm. Julia O’Hern<br />
spends a lot of time at sea while<br />
she works on her Ph.D. <strong>in</strong><br />
oceanography from Texas A & M<br />
University. Her field research<br />
focuses on <strong>the</strong> ocean between<br />
Ecuador and <strong>the</strong> Galapagos,<br />
where she studies whale habitat.<br />
