This question asked the CSO to check all options that describe its type.
Of the seventy (70) participating organizations, the greatest number were nongovernmental with
thirty-two (32)respondents, twelve (12) described themselves as social movement organizations,
eleven (11) as women’s organizations, six (6) as academic institutions, and five (5) as
professional associations. There was no participation by organizations of persons of afrodescendents.
The eleven (11) organizations that checked “other” described themselves as follows:
• Continental network of academics, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students,
NGO members, social leaders
• Civil association of health professionals
• Social organization to complement community groups and social networks
• Sports and recreational organization
• Local cooperatives and committees
• Various lines of work
