The quantitative data were processed and are presented in this report in graphs that deal with each question. In addition, the Summits of the Americas Secretariat compiled and compared the qualitative information received and prepared a summary of the common threads, which is presented in each section of the document under the respective question. To supplement the summary of the comments, the qualitative information submitted for each of the questionnaires is presented textually in a table in the report’s Annex. 7
2. PRESENTATION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS THAT RESPONDED TO THE QUESTIONNAIRE The first part of the questionnaire asks respondents for basic information on the entity or social movement and nature of its target populations. The Summits of the Americas Secretariat presents the replies to the questionnaire in graphic format, broken down by subregion of the Americas. It also presents detailed information on the entity or social movement. GRAPHIC INFORMATION The following graph shows the geographical coverage of the civil society organizations that replied to the questionnaire, by subregion of the Americas. Some organizations are included in more than one subregion. Caribbean Of a total of seventy (70) civil society organizations that responded to the convocation on the SDH, the subregion of the Americas had the greatest participation with 57 organizations, which is eighty percent (80%) of the total, while Central America, with Mexico included, had thirteen percent (13%) of the total with nine responses, the Caribbean had four percent (4%) with three responses, and North America three percent (3%) with two responses. 8
