English teacher for 3 weeks at Tecnos
Emma Yeld, a young trainee teacher from Kingston University in London, stayed at our school for 21 days in the
second term. Our school takes part in a project carried out by the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in collaboration
with Kingston University from London.
Emma has got a qualification in Spanish and understands a bit of Catalan. This made Emma’s integration really
easy. She attended all sorts of lessons at all levels; from Reception to Class 6, in Spanish, Catalan and English. We
are all really proud of her, for she showed great enthusiasm and interest in all tasks. We wish her the best for the
next school year and a happy wedding this summer.
Children from year 5 perform 6 little theatre
plays brilliantly.
The students from the first year of the Upper Cycle of Primary
spent one session per week working hard in order
to perform six little theatre plays based on well known
classic tales in English: The Enormous Turnip, The Gingerbread
Man, The Canterville Ghost, The Town Mouse and
the Country Mouse, Three Billy-goats and Peter Pan.
On the 26th March, the 11 year old children from El Cim
School visited us to enjoy a wonderful show. One week
later, we had a show for our own students in years 4 and 6.
The act turned out to be an outstanding success.
