The magazine Seven Dining<br />
Rooms is part of the Din<br />
ing Rooms project produced<br />
for the Espai 13 at the Fundació Joan<br />
Miró, and focuses on the workers’<br />
canteens, kitchens, or dining rooms<br />
of some museums and cultural institu<br />
tions in the city of Barcelona.<br />
The seven institutions selected<br />
for this are those included in the<br />
articketBCN, a season ticket for “the<br />
most visited museums of the city”.<br />
This selection criterion has been<br />
chosen for two reasons. First of all,<br />
because it is an existing, visible link<br />
between all these institutions and<br />
the Fundació Joan Miró, which is<br />
the starting point for the project.<br />
Secondly, because a large amount<br />
of the people who enter the Espai<br />
13 and see the exhibition do so by<br />
using, or buying, this ticket. This<br />
turns them into a potential audience<br />
for the other six institutions, or, at<br />
least, makes them aware of their<br />
existence. In this way, a link is made,<br />
even if an indirect, remote, and<br />
probably unconscious one, between<br />
the canteens where the workers of<br />
