a rabbit on my lap.<br />
electric fur against my always fur.<br />
i am the arbiter of the necessary<br />
knife-thrust that alters gender.<br />
or else ungrafted olive trees<br />
become coniferous.<br />

A magician's assistant, Miss Frappe,<br />
Discovered she'd misplaced his cap.<br />
So she stripped off her clothes<br />

So why should I grab it<br />
If it isn't like a rabbit<br />
Or a monkey or a turnip or a rat?<br />
A rabbit would have charmed me<br />
Excited and disarmed me<br />
Enticed me to sit down and take a nap.<br />
But a monkey were he chunkey<br />
