Introducción<br />
Los <strong>de</strong>rechos y valores inherentes a la persona humana ocupan<br />
un puesto importante en la problemática contemporánea. A este<br />
respecto, el Concilio Ecuménico Vaticano II ha reafirmado<br />
solemnemente la dignidad excelente <strong>de</strong> la persona humana y <strong>de</strong><br />
modo particular su <strong>de</strong>recho a la vida. Por ello ha <strong>de</strong>nunciado los<br />
crímines contra la vida, como "homicidios <strong>de</strong> cualquier clase,<br />
genocidios, aborto, eutanasia y el mismo suicidio <strong>de</strong>liberado"<br />
(Cons. Past. Gaudium et spes, n. 27)<br />
La S. Congregación para la Doctrina <strong>de</strong> la Fe, que recientemente<br />
ha recordado la doctrina católica acerca <strong>de</strong>l aborto procurado, 1<br />
juzga oportuno proponer ahora la enseñanza <strong>de</strong> la Iglesia sobre<br />
el problema <strong>de</strong> la eutanasia.<br />
En efecto, aunque continúen siendo siempre válidos los<br />
principios enunciados en este terreno por los últimos<br />
