• With safety systems based on the rope friction
principle (abseiling devices, shortening
devices, impact absorbers or similar), restrictions
to the function can occur due to changes
in the rope and therefore make early replacement
necessary.
• Intensive use and/or extreme conditions of
use such as sharp edges or chemical influences
etc. lead to a reduced period of use due
to safety reasons. The operator must ensure
safe use in the risk analysis for the workplace.
