4.3 Initial Cleaning
Debris in the catering urn can distort the taste of a drink prepared
with the water. Therefore, it is important to clean the appliance
thoroughly before its first use.
NB
The water heated during the first use of the appliance
cannot be used and must be disposed of.
1. Fill the water container to the highest mark with cold water.
The marks on the water-level gauge indicate the level to which
the appliance has been filled with water.
2. Close the lid.

3. Turn the thermostat to the desired
temperature.
4. Press the On/Off switch
The red indicator light turns on and the
catering urn begins to heat the water.
5. After approx. 15 minutes, press the on/
off switch.

5.1 Filling the water container
WARNING
When the catering urn is overfilled, hot water can spurt
out and cause severe scalding.
• Do not overfill the container (see “Volume Capacity”,
Chapter 3 “Technical data”)
• Check the water level gauge before each use.
ATTENTION
If the appliance is filled to less than the lowest filling level
of 2 litres, the appliance can be damaged by overheating.
• Fill the container at least to the minimum height.
• Turn the appliance off as soon as the water level of the
water level gauge is under the minimum level or no
more water comes out of the spigot.
• Avoid operating the catering urn when empty.
1. Open the lid.
2. Fill the container with water. Pay attention to the minimum and
maximum stipulations of the dial on the inside of the container.
3. Shut the lid.
5.2 Heating the water and keeping it warm
WARNING
During the heating process, the catering urn is heated to a
temperature of up to 90°C and can lead to severe burns if
used inappropriately.
• When it is hot, touch only touch the handles of the
catering urn.
Heat the water as follows:
NB
The thermostat is not operated by a precision thermostat.
Therefore, the value given can deviate from the actual
temperature by approx. 5 °C.

1. Turn the thermostat to the desired
temperature.
2. Press the On/Off switch to turn on the
appliance
The heating of water is indicated by a
red indicator light. As soon as the desired
temperature is reached, this goes out
and the green indicator light turns on.
The water is kept warm as follows:
During the heat preservation phase, the green indicator light turns
off for a short time and the red indicator lamp briefly turns back on.
This occurs when the temperature of the water is lower than the preset
temperature of the catering urn. The urn then heats the water
automatically to the desired temperature.
1. Press the on/off switch to end this process.
2. Take out the plug.
5.3 Dispensing Water
1. Put a cup underneath the spigot.
Opening the spigot:
2. Press the tab on the spigot down gently, in order to
open the valve to dispense the water.
When the tab is pressed down all the way, it locks.
The water flows until you press the tab back into
its starting position.
Closing the spigot:
3. Press the tab on the spigot back to its starting
position.

Danger
The appliance is operated at a household voltage of 230V.
Direct contact of water with the electric cables can lead to
electrocution or death.
• Take the plug out of the socket before any cleaning
works.
• Never submerge the appliance in water.
• Keep moisture away from the electrical components.
Attention
Damages caused by contamination or unsuitable cleaning
and decalcification agents.
Thoroughly clean the appliance. For the cleaning and
decalcification of the appliance, use Bio-Clean-Coffee
appliance cleaner and Bio- Clean - decalcifier, otherwise we
can offer no guarantee in the case of damages.
