lever to "Run" position, and repeat steps<br />

DO NOT touch hot surfaces and avoid hot exhaust gases.<br />

Allow equipment to coo! before touching.<br />

Keep at least 5 ft. (152 cm) clearance on all sides of<br />

<strong>pressure</strong> <strong>washer</strong> including overhead.<br />

Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Title 36 Parks,<br />

Forests, and Public Property require equipment powered<br />

by an internal <strong>com</strong>bustion engine to have a spark<br />

arrester, maintained in effective working order, <strong>com</strong>plying<br />

to USDA Forest service standard 5100-1C or later<br />

revision. In the State of California a spark arrester is<br />

required under section 4442 of the California Public<br />

resources code. Other states may have similar laws.<br />

NOTE: Always keep the throttle lever in the "Fast"<br />

position when operating the <strong>pressure</strong> <strong>washer</strong>.<br />

How to Stop Your C_eaning System<br />

1. Let engine idle for two minutes.<br />

2. Move throttle lever on engine to "Stop" position.<br />

12. Return recoil starter slowly. DO NOT let rope<br />

"snap back" against starter.<br />

After each starting attempt, where engine fails to run,<br />

always point gun in safe direction and squeeze spray<br />

gun trigger to release high <strong>pressure</strong>.<br />

13. When engine starts, slowly move choke lever to<br />

"Run" position, as engine warms. If engine falters,<br />

move choke lever to "Choke" position, then to<br />

"Run" position.<br />

Keep high <strong>pressure</strong> hose connected to pump and spray<br />

gun while system is pressurized.<br />

ALWAYS point gun in safe direction and squeeze spray<br />

gun trigger, to release high <strong>pressure</strong>, every time you stop<br />

engine. Engage trigger lock when not in use.<br />

4. Engage trigger lock on spray gun when not in use.<br />
