For the winter months students may wear light blue long sleeve shirts or blouses, a light<br />

blue or navy blue sweater or sweatshirt (no logo). Students must be dressed in full<br />

uniform. If not, the following will occur, student will be a given a loan item for the day that<br />

must be returned the following <strong>school</strong> day. If a loan item is unavailable, parents will be<br />

contacted to bring the student a uniform or pick the student up for the day.<br />

FIELD EXPERIENCES<br />

Properly supervised and planned educational field trips are an important part of the<br />

instructional program. A signed permission form from a parent or guardian is required for<br />

all field trips.<br />

5 TH GRADE ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS<br />

At the end of the fifth grade year special activities are planned for all fifth graders. They<br />

include a fifth grade field trip, luncheon, awards, and promotion acknowledgement<br />

ceremony. In order to participate in these activities fifth grade students must meet the<br />

following criteria:<br />

District required goals<br />

Acceptable behavior - no more than (3) referrals for the <strong>school</strong> year<br />

Acceptable attendance<br />

Satisfactory work completion<br />

School fees and all dues paid<br />

HEALTH SERVICES<br />

NURSE<br />

A nurse visits Woodland on a regular, but part-time basis. She may conference with<br />

students, teachers and parents regarding health problems. Students requiring health or<br />

first aid services should report to the main office for assistance. A nurse is always on call<br />

for any emergency situation.<br />

ACCIDENTS AND ILLNESS<br />

The <strong>school</strong> will make every effort to inform the parents of any accident or illness occurring<br />

at <strong>school</strong> that may need care or observation at home. Every accident in the <strong>school</strong> building,<br />

on the <strong>school</strong> grounds or at any event sponsored by the <strong>school</strong> must be reported<br />

immediately to the person in charge of the activity and to the <strong>school</strong> office.<br />

Students who become ill at <strong>school</strong> should be picked up as soon as you get a call from our<br />

staff. Students will not be sent home on their own. A parent or adult listed on emergency<br />

form must pick the child up.<br />
