ABSTRACTThis technicals document contains the proposed Tourism Development Model for themunicipality of Envigado and ecotourism areas.Tourism development model begins with an introduction which outlines somedifficulties encountered in the municipality of Envigado and ecotourism areas andemphasizes that for a Tourism Plan is not enough to undertake programs andprojects, but they are required to propose a development model in which guidelineswere introduced as a transverse axis passing trough all stages of the plan andpermeate the proposed actions.In the case of the Tourism Plan was established formulated a model of sustainabletourism development is based on the following definition: "that meets the needs oftourists and host populations, while protecting and enhancing opportunities for thefuture also must be designed to ensure the cultural integrity, essential ecologicalprogress, biodiversity and life support systems. "Then he proceeded to select the strategic areas of tourism development,development of tourist facilities, development of demand and future scenario anddefined products - markets.Finally, this technicals document has conclusions and recommendations issued bythe strategic areas for tourism development, the development of equipment anddemand analyzed in this study.
