eak-up. This activity, together with local variations in the basement structure, had a strong influence in
the generation, mobility, and trapping of the hydrothermal fluids. The WNW strike was determined as the
main orientation of the epithermal mineralization in the northwestern Deseado Massif.
The volcanic rocks host the epithermal features, but the volcanism also shows a genetic link with the
mineralization. Volcanic activity provides the heat and also it was the fluids and metals source.
Geological and metallogenical characteristics from the studied area support a high stratigraphic position,
without pre-Jurassic outcrops and with considerable evidences of upper epithermal system levels.
The integration of the main conclusions allowed, at the end of the work, to generate an interpretative
cross-section model that shows the volcanism and mineralization development in the studied area.
Finally, a brief commentary about the precious metal exploration paths for the area was performed.
