Seeks to Consolidate its Export Potential
La apicultura juega un papel muy importante en el sector
agropecuario nacional, no sólo por los volúmenes de miel
y otros productos de la colmena, sino también por el rol
que cumple la polinización en otras áreas de la agricultura
nacional, donde FIA ha buscado fortalecer este importante
sector.
La Fundación para la Innovación Agraria (FIA) del
Ministerio de Agricultura ha apoyado al sector apícola
con herramientas de innovación para contribuir a aumentar
la competitividad del sector, cuya aplicación ha permitido
avanzar en su modernización.
En esta línea, ha promovido una visión país, sobre cuya base
se puede lograr que la apicultura chilena sea reconocida
en los mercados internacionales como un proveedor
de mieles de alta calidad asociadas a un territorio de
excelencia.
Es por ello que uno de los ejes de FIA, es ser un ente
articulador del desarrollo del sector a través de la
coordinación de la subcomisión apícola “profesionalización
y tecnología” creada bajo el alero de la Comisión Nacional
Apícola, así como impulsando iniciativas de innovación que
contribuye a dicho desarrollo.
Uno de los últimos aportes realizados, fue la elaboración del
1° Manual del Polinizador, gracias a la articulación de una
red público-privada entre la Fundación para la Innovación
Agraria (FIA), la Asociación Nacional de Productores de
Semillas (ANPROS), la Red Apícola Nacional (RAN) y la
Federación de Productores de Fruta (FEDEFRUTA), con
el objetivo de avanzar en las materias prioritarias para la
profesionalización del sector apícola.
Actualmente FIA se encuentra trabajando en algunos
proyectos para diferenciar la miel producida en Chile,
otorgándole valor agregado, ya que hoy en día este

Chilean beekeeping can be recognized in international
markets as a provider of high quality honey associated
with a territory of excellence.
Consequently one of the axes of FIA, is being an articulating
entity of the development of the sector through the
coordination of the “Professionalization and Technology”
subcommission created under the eaves of the National
Beekeeping Commission as well as promoting innovation
initiatives that contribute to develop the sector.
One of the last contributions made was the preparation
of the first Manual of the Pollinator, thanks to the
articulation of a public-private network between the
Foundation for Agrarian Innovation (FIA), the National
Association of Seed Producers (ANPROS), the National
Beekeeping Network (RAN) and the Federation of Fruit
Producers (FEDEFRUTA), with the objective of advancing
in the priority matters for the professionalization of the
apicultural sector.
