Su ventaja frente a las hidráulicas y electro-hidráulicas es que,<br />
al no utilizar energía hidráulica, son más ligeras y simples al<br />
eliminar la instalación y bomba hidráulica, que también ayuda<br />
a bajar el peso del vehículo.<br />
Atendiendo al lugar donde se aplica la asistencia, las direcciones<br />
eléctricas se dividen en:<br />
• Column drive (hacia la columna): aplica la asistencia en la<br />
columna de dirección.<br />
• Pinion drive (hacia el piñón): aplica la asistencia en el piñón<br />
de la dirección.<br />
• Rack drive (hacia la cremallera): aplica la asistencia a la<br />
cremallera de la dirección.<br />

in:<br />
• Column drive. Applied the assistance to<br />
the steering column drive.<br />
