Raportissa on kuvattu Kaakkois-Suomessa sijaitsevan Puumalan<br />
kartta-alueen (3143) kivilajit. Liitteenä on 1:100 000<br />
-mittakaavainen kallioperäkartta. Laatimisen yhteydessä on<br />
hyödynnetty sekä vanhaa tietoa että suoritettu uusia maastotutkimuksia.<br />
Kallioperäkarttoja ja niiden selityksiä käytetään<br />
mm. ohjaamaan malminetsintää, luonnonkivitutkimuksia<br />
ja rakentamista. Niitä tarvitaan myös tieteelliseen tutkimukseen.<br />
This report describes the bedrock in the Puumala map sheet<br />
area, which is located in southeastern Finland. A bedrock<br />
map at the scale of 1:100,000 is presented as an appendix. The<br />
text and compilation of the map are based on old data and<br />
recent <strong>fi</strong>eldwork. Bedrock maps and their explanations are<br />
useful in ore exploration, rock aggregate and natural stone<br />
studies, construction, and in scienti<strong>fi</strong>c research.<br />
