2 Your safety is important to us<br />

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION<br />

PLEASE READ ALL THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.<br />

2.1 Areas of use<br />

Treatments • The appliance is suitable for the following treatments:<br />

- Drying shampoo-and-set styles and modern hairstyling with natural waves<br />

and lots of movement,<br />

- Pre-drying,<br />

- Natural drying,<br />

- For applying heat with cosmetic hair treatments (with plastic cap).<br />

Treatment time • The selected treatment time and temperature is the responsibility of the<br />

qualified hairdressing staff.<br />

• Please remember that heat may alter the development times of the products.<br />

Ambient conditions • An ambient temperature of 15°C to 40°C should be maintained in the salon.<br />

• A relative humidity of 95% must not be exceeded.<br />

• Do not set up the appliance in direct sunlight, near high temperatures, heaters<br />

or in damp rooms.<br />

Proper use • The appliance is only designed for commercial use indoors.<br />

• The appliance is only used for drying and heat treatment of the hair for a<br />

positive effect on the development time and the result when treating hair with<br />

cosmetic hair products.<br />

• The appliance must be positioned over the head, with the forehead/nape of<br />

the neck forming the natural boundaries (see “Section 4.2” page 40).<br />

• With treatments such as a perm or intensive hair treatments, cover the hair<br />

with a plastic cap.<br />

• Switch off the appliance immediately after use at the ON/OFF switch a.<br />

Remove the power plug e (only pedestal version).<br />

Specifications according to the Machinery<br />

Directive 2006/42/EC<br />

• A-weighted emission sound pressure level in the workplace at 1 m distance,<br />

LpA ≤ 70 dB(A).<br />

• Measured maximum noise level including measurement uncertainty according<br />

to EN ISO 4871. Values determined according to EN 60704-2-9 with reference<br />

to EN 60704-1.<br />

Do not leave the appliance unattended • Under no circumstances should the appliance be left unattended as long as the<br />

power plug e is still inserted.<br />

• The use of the appliance requires supervision. Special attention is required<br />

around children or infirm persons in particular.<br />

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and<br />

persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of<br />

experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction<br />

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards<br />

involved.<br />

• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall<br />

not be made by children without supervision.<br />

Improper us • Before treatment with the appliance, do not apply ointments designed to<br />

stimulate the blood circulation or similar products, as the heat given off by the<br />

appliance will increase the effect of such products.<br />

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or in places where aerosols (sprays) are<br />

used.<br />
