4 Operation<br />

The socket outlet with earthing contact must have at least 10 ampere protection.<br />

We recommend that the wiring in your salon is protected with a residual current<br />

circuit breaker (RCCB) (Release current maximum 30 mA) fitted by your<br />

electrician.<br />

4.1.1 Checking power supply voltage<br />

Power supply voltage rating<br />

• The power supply voltage of the appliance can be found on the type<br />

plate 1 on the underside of the appliance.<br />

1. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the information on the type plate<br />

• If in doubt, contact your electricity supply company or a local qualified<br />

electrician or electrical contractor.<br />

4.1.2 Connecting to mains<br />

1. Check the power plug e and mains cable d for damage.<br />

2. Use the recessed handles 8 to move the appliance to or position it in the<br />

place where treatment is to be performed.<br />

3. Insert the power plug e of pedestal version into a socket.<br />

Electric shock<br />

• In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces the risk<br />

of an electric shock.<br />

• The wall-mounted version (protection classI) should only be used<br />

with a properly earthed socket outlet with earthing contact.<br />

4. Insert the power plug e of wall-mounted version into a properly earthed<br />

socket outlet with earthing contact.<br />

5. Arrange the mains cable d of pedestal version so no-one can trip over it.<br />

4.1.3 Disconnecting from mains<br />

1WARNING<br />

To avoid damage to the appliance:<br />

• Do not pull on the mains cable d.<br />

• Do not squash or kink the mains cable d.<br />

1. Switch off appliance at the ON/OFF switch a.<br />

2. Disconnect from mains by gripping and pulling out the power plug e.<br />

3. Wind the mains cable d around the cable hook c (only pedestal version) to<br />

avoid tripping and falling.<br />
