OlivierHougGalerie change de nom en devenant Galerie Houg avec l’arrivée<br />
de Romain Houg co-directeur artistique de la galerie. L’orientation artistique<br />
se précise dans la volonté de montrer encore plus d’artistes émergents,<br />
d’origine internationale. C’est ainsi que figurent parmi les nouveaux artistes<br />
soutenus par la Galerie Houg, Jorge Mayet (artiste d’origine cubaine montré<br />
pour la première fois en France lors de l’édition 2011 de DocksArtFair)<br />
et Susanne Themlitz (artiste germano-portugaise) ainsi que Vincent Breed<br />
(artiste vivant et travaillant à Lyon). Exposer des artistes aux interrogations<br />
culturelles d’horizons divers dans un monde en pleine mutation globalisante<br />
reste une des priorités de la galerie. À l’occasion de la première WAF,<br />
Mathias Schmied a réalisé une série d’œuvres spécifiques aux conditions<br />
de présentation du concept de la foire.<br />
Olivier Houg Galerie has changed its name to Galerie Houg with the arrival<br />
of Romain Houg as Artistic Co-Director. The objective of the newly-named<br />
gallery is to exhibit even more up-and-coming artists of international origin.<br />
New artists supported by the Galerie Houg include : Jorge Mayet (a Cuban<br />
artist, shown for the first time in France at the Docks Art Fair 2011) and<br />
Susanne Themlitz (a German-Portuguese artist) as well as Vincent Breed<br />
(an artist living and working in Lyon). One of the priorities of the gallery<br />
is to show artists from diverse backgrounds, who focus on cultural issues,<br />
in a world of increasing globalization. For the first WAF, Mathias Schmied<br />
has directed a series of specific artwork in line with the requirements<br />
of this innovative art fair.<br />
