Paola Tinor a touché plusieurs domaines depuis le début de sa carrière. Passant
du tourisme au télé-marketing, elle se joint à la mine Canadian Malartic en 2011
en tant que répartitrice – une première expérience pour elle dans le monde minier.
Dans ses fonctions, elle est responsable de la coordination efficace des activités
d’extraction minière. Elle doit s’assurer de l’approvisionnement optimal du
concasseur, de la gestion efficace de la flotte d’équipement et du transfert de
l’information technique pour les équipements de chargement et de forage — tout
cela dans la plus grande mine d’or à ciel ouvert au Canada !
Le défi est grand pour cette femme native de la région abitibienne et aux origines
italiennes. La technologie utilisée est une première au Québec et il faut s’y adapter
rapidement en plus de l’adapter aux besoins de la mine. Son dynamisme, sa
détermination et sa volonté d’optimiser les opérations font d’elle une femme qui
relève le défi.
Appréciée par ses collègues de travail pour son professionnalisme et ses
interventions auprès de ceux-ci afin de les encourager à atteindre les objectifs,
Paola fait grandir tout le monde autour d’elle et met tout son cœur à y parvenir.
Paola Tinor worked in many sectors throughout her career from tourism to marketing befor
joining the Canadian Malartic team in 2011 as Dispatcher. This is her first experience in the
world of mining.

In her role, Paola is responsible for the efficient coordination of mining activities. She must ensure
an optimal supply of ore to the crusher, effective management of the fleet, as well as the transfer
of technical data for loading and drilling equipment — all of this for the largest open pit gold mine
in Canada!
It’s a big responsibility riding on the shoulders of this woman born in Abitibi and of Italian origin.
The technology used on the site is a first in Quebec. She has to adapt quickly in order to meet the
demands of the workplace. Her dynamism, determination and desire to optimize operations make
her a woman who rises to the challenge.
Appreciated by her colleagues for her professionalism while maintaining the ability to attain her
work objectives, Paola helps those around her to grow as well; and she does so whole heartedly.
