GBINSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR DISHWASHERS4.3 Washing cycleWith reference to Fig.2 , for correct operation of the machine, it is advisable to follow these rules:• Use a suitable rack, filling it without overloading it and without placing the dishes one on top ofthe other. Always clean off the dishes beforehand, and do not load dishes with dry or solidresidue on them.• Place empty containers upside-down on the rack. Put the plates and similar kitchenware intothe special inclined rack, with the internal surface facing upwards. Put mixed silverware intothe special basket with the handles facing downwards.• Wash the dishes immediately after use, in order to prevent any residuals from hardening andsticking on them.• Load the rack into the machine and close the door.• To avoid breakage, use only dishes that are intact and guaranteed for machine washing.• Do not place silver and stainless steel cutlery in the same basket, since this would cause thesilver to tarnish and the steel to corrode.4.4 Cycle selection and start-up• Based on the type of dishes and their conditions, two types of cycles are available.• Select a wash cycle that is suitable for the dishes to be washed by pressing the PROGRAMMESELECTION key (2). The corresponding indicator will light up (Fig.3 ).°C• To start the programme, press the START button (3) asshown alongside. The corresponding cycle light flashesand the cycle starts.• When the cycle is complete, the indicator light for theselected programme stays on steady.• In order to get rapid drying, immediately remove the rack from the machine at the end of thecycle.• If you want to stop the washing cycle in advance, press the ON / OFF button ON/OFF button(1).4.5 Automatic cycle start-upThis function makes it possible to start the cycle simply by closing the door without pressing anybutton. To activate the function proceed as follows(Fig.4 ):• With the machine on and the door open, press and hold (for at least five seconds)the STARTkey (3) until the display shows AS.• To de-activate the function, with the door open, press and hold the START key (3) for fiveseconds.4.6 Turning off the machine°CPress the ON/OFF button (1) as shown alongside, and thecorresponding indicator light will go off. On the DISPLAY(10), two segments will remain on to show that power isbeing provided.Page 6 of 10
