« Waouh ! » Le nouveau
concept de restauration chic
signé Thierry Marx sur le
Terminal 1 de l’Aéroport de
Nice est à couper le souffle.
Jamais encore un bar de plage
ne s’était invité avec autant
de réalisme dans une structure
aéroportuaire européenne.
Tout y est : les parasols, les
transats, les caillebotis et même
le belvédère avec ses jumelles
pour voir et être vu. Il y a aussi
les sons et les odeurs, les jeux
d’ombres et de lumière, une
légère brise... Il suffit de fermer
les yeux pour y être !
Encore une fois, Nice
innove, crée l’expérience.
Visible de loin avec son
toboggan géant ouvert sur
le hall d’embarquement (à
partir d’octobre), “La Plage”
rayé bleu et blanc de Thierry
Marx – unique – s’inspire des
hauts lieux de la Côte et de
l’ambiance mythique des grands
bars de plage de Cannes à
Saint-Tropez. « J’ai voulu recréer
cette atmosphère joyeuse et
festive et prolonger l’expérience

Depuis le 16 mars, le restaurant Pan Garni propose
sa cuisine du Sud-Est dans la salle s’embarquement
Terminal 1. Un concept de snacking chic, orchestré par
le chef étoilé Thierry Marx
SUNSHINE IN YOUR PLATE Since 16 March, the
Pan Garni restaurant has been serving the cuisine of
southeastern France in the Terminal 1 departure lounge.

chef Thierry Marx.
“Wow!” Thierry Marx has
a breathtaking new dining
concept at Terminal 1 of the
Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport.
Never before has a beach bar
been so realistically recreated
inside a European airport. All
the coastal ingredients are
here: sunshades, deckchairs,
even boardwalks and a
viewpoint with binoculars,
to see and be seen! All the
sounds and smells, too, shifting
shadow and light, a gentle
breeze – just close your eyes
and you’re there!
Nice, once again, is an
experiential pioneer. Evident
from afar with a giant slide
spiralling into the departure
lounge (starting in October),
Thierry Marx’s blue-and-whitestriped
La Plage is unique,
inspired by the Riviera’s
landmark sites and the
legendary ambiance of the
best beach bars, from Cannes
to Saint-Tropez. “I wanted to
recreate that cheerful, festive
atmosphere and prolong the
unforgettable experience of a
French Riviera holiday, all the
way to the gates,” explains
the chef.
FAST-CASUAL
DINING
As far as the cast goes, no
one has been left out: children
have their play spaces with
trampoline, buckets and
sand castles. Those who
prefer lazily lounging will find
deckchairs and cosy gliders.
For both food and beverages,
you can order from your
deckchair, or step over to the
bar or adjacent restaurant in
the “La Plage” beachy theme.
The chef has designed a “chic
snacking” style of eating, with
pride of place going to local
cuisine, the tastes of southeastern
France and superb
local ingredients steeped in
sunshine.
