Speaker level setting<br />
For this unit, the speaker levels have been set in advance so that the best volume balance is obtained with<br />
standard use.<br />
Reset as follows to match your listening environment.<br />

1 Play a disc marked ”Dolby Digital”.<br />

2 Stop the playback.<br />

3 Press TEST key for more than 2<br />

The test tone is played back from the Left Front speaker.<br />
Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL so that it is slightly loud<br />
and fix it there.<br />

Operations<br />
4 Press the TRIM (5/∞) keys to control<br />
the speaker level.<br />
The speakers will be switched as follows in intervals of<br />
about 2 seconds.<br />
L → C → R → RS → LS → SW<br />

÷ Press TEST (SOUND/NIGHT) key<br />
to resume nomal mode.<br />
Adjust the volume with the TRIM (5/∞) keys while the<br />
indicator is flashing so that the volume from all speakers<br />
except the subwoofer (SW) appears the same.<br />
÷ The level of Front speakers, Center speaker and Surround<br />
speakers adjustment are possible in the range from -6<br />
dB to +6 dB.<br />
The level of Subwoofer adjustment is possible in the<br />
range from -9 dB to +9 dB.<br />
Note<br />
As the subwoofer (SW) has a special playback band, normal<br />
adjustment is not possible with the test tone. Please<br />
adjust the subwoofer while listening to actual music. (i)
