Attaching Your Computer to the Port Replicator<br />

Be sure to install the battery pack(s) before attaching your computer to the port replicator.<br />
To attach your computer to the port replicator<br />

If the AC adapter is supplied with your port replicator, be sure to use it to connect the port replicator to a power source. If not, use the AC adapter<br />
supplied with your computer.<br />
To prevent loss of unsaved data, be sure to turn off your computer before attaching it to the port replicator.<br />
Do not move your computer when it is attached to the port replicator. This may detach the port replicator and cause damage to both units.<br />
The monitor port, the HDMI output port, and the LAN port on your computer is not accessible when the computer is attached to the port replicator. Use<br />
the MONITOR port, the HDMI output port, or the LAN port on the port replicator for connection.<br />
1 Shut down the computer, close the LCD screen lid, and disconnect all peripheral devices and the AC adapter.<br />
2 Plug one end of the power cord (1) into the AC adapter (2) and the other end into an AC outlet.<br />
3 Plug the cable connected to the AC adapter (2) into the DC IN port (3) on the port replicator.
