Un ambassadeur de la culture Rohingya : rencontre avec le poète Mayyu Ali

Emilie Lopes nous a contactés au printemps pour nous annoncer
la venue prochaine de Mayyu Ali en France. Elle avait à cœur de
faire connaître son histoire et son récit, de faire parler de la
situation des Rohingya, oubliés parmi les oubliés depuis le coup
d’Etat militaire du 1er février 2021 en Birmanie. Info Birmanie,
avec cette volonté en partage, a contacté Mme de Mersan pour
lui demander si l’INALCO souhaitait organiser une rencontre.
L’élan fut immédiat.
Nous les en remercions vivement. Durant ses quelques jours à
Paris, Mayyu Ali aura donné quelques interviews à la presse,
présenté son parcours au Dissident Club à Paris et rencontré des
représentants du Ministère des affaires étrangères, avant de
participer à cette conférence à l’INALCO.
Merci à vous d’être là pour l’écouter et partager cette
conférence pour une rencontre que nous plaçons sous le signe de
la plus haute importance.

Emilie Lopes contacted us in the spring to announce that Mayyu
Ali was coming to France. She was keen to share his story and
testimony, to talk about the situation of the Rohingya, forgotten
among the forgotten since the military coup of 1 February 2021
in Burma. Info Birmanie, with this shared desire, contacted Ms.
De Mersan to ask her if INALCO would like to organise a meeting.
The impulse was immediate.
We thank them warmly. During his few days in Paris, Mayyu Ali
gave a couple of interviews to the press, presented his journey
at the Dissident Club in Paris and met with representatives of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before participating in this
conference at INALCO.
