soluzioni. Dopo diverse prove, nel 1933 realizza
una nuova maschera con vetro rotondo che
copre occhi, naso e bocca (fig.8).
Modifica inoltre la conformazione del suo ARA.
La bombola è posta sul davanti e la frusta bassa
pressione che parte dal riduttore fissato alla bombola,
è collegata direttamente alla maschera.
Aperta la bombola l’aria affluisce sempre in continuazione
nella maschera, disappannando il vetro e
scaricandosi dal bordo superiore. Questo ARA, nel
1935, è adottato dalla Marina Francese (nota 4).

1925-38
This is the period during which the diving activity
meant mainly as spear fishing starts and spreads
around. Many start to move, with big ferment,
especially along the French Blue Coast. Some
with the Polynesian spear, the famous “patià”,
others with the just invented gun, but anyway
everybody with goggles or mask and aerator.
Only few use initially the fins recently invented
by Corlieu. At this point it becomes difficult to
say about the masks because everyone that was
practicing this sport was moving in a autonomous
way and was building his tools artisanally Many

witness anyway the numerous initiatives.
