Visitors follow a route through the town centre<br />
that shows them re-enactments of life at the time of<br />
Christ. The fi nal scene of the Nativity is set in the<br />
town’s main square.<br />
ALVIANO<br />
RE-ENACTMENT OF THE NATIVITY<br />
24 DECEMBER, AT 22.30<br />
Re-enactment of the birth of Christ in the streets<br />
of the town centre. There will also be roast chestnuts,<br />
hot wine, frittelle and traditional Christmas<br />
treats.<br />
ARMENZANO (ASSISI)<br />
A CRIB WITHIN THE CRIB<br />
26 AND 30 DECEMBER, 6 JANUARY, FROM 16.30 TO<br />
19.00<br />
The re-enactment takes place in the streets, houses<br />
and cellars of the castle. On 1 January the re-enactment<br />
is inside the Rocca Maggiore, in Assisi.<br />

FROM 16.30 TO 19.30<br />
The re-enactment takes place in the narrow lanes<br />
within Arrone Castle.<br />
ATTIGLIANO<br />
RE-ENACTMENT OF THE NATIVITY<br />
24 DECEMBER, AT 24.00<br />
Town centre (repeated at 17.30 on 25 december).<br />
To mark the occasion, there will also be bruschetta<br />
and wine.<br />
AVENDITA<br />
12 DECEMBER, AT 16.00<br />
Dressed in costume, all the local inhabitants take<br />
part in this re-enactment of the Nativity, recreating<br />
life, traditions and crafts of the past.<br />
CALVI DELL’UMBRIA<br />
25 DECEMBER - 1 AND 6 JANUARY, FROM 18.00<br />
The re-enactment takes place at Bufalari, near Santa<br />
Maria della Neve.<br />
CARNAIOLA (FABRO)<br />
24 DECEMBER, AT 22.00<br />
After the re-enactment of the Nativity, Father Christmas<br />
will arrive in a carriage and give out presents<br />
to the local children.<br />
CASCIA (AT MALTIGNANO)<br />
24 DECEMBER AND 5 JANUARY<br />
In keeping with the ancient tradition of re-enactments<br />
of the Nativity, the birth of Jesus is re-created in<br />
the local streets.<br />
CASEBASSE (NOCERA UMBRA)<br />
26 DECEMBER - 1 AND 6 JANUARY, FROM 15.00<br />
This re-enactment is organised by the young people<br />
of the local parish.<br />
CASTEL VISCARDO<br />

Entrance is free and includes a guided visit, hot<br />
wine, tea and traditional Christmas sweets.<br />
