EQUITAZIONE E IPPICA
L’IPPODROMO DELLE BETTOLE
La lunga e appassionata storia che lega
Varese all’ippica nasce 125 anni fa
con l’inaugurazione del primo ippodromo
nella zona di Casbeno.
La struttura attuale, l’Ippodromo delle
Bettole, inizia la sua attività nel settembre
del 1911 per continuare fino
ad oggi con una interessante stagione
di corse al galoppo, che occupa il calendario
sia nei mesi invernali che in
quelli estivi.
Non lontano dal centro cittadino, la pista
immersa nel verde offre una piacevole
oasi di tranquillità e di divertimento
e le tribune diventano un tradizionale
luogo di incontro per godersi lo
spettacolo dei concorsi e quattro chiacchiere
con gli amici.
Circondato dal profilo delle prealpi, l’ippodromo
ospita ristorante, bar e uno
spazio bambini, dando l’opportunità
non solo agli appassionati ma anche a
familiari ed amici di passare insieme in
modo originale il tempo libero. Un’ottima
occasione anche per gli ospiti della
Provincia!
Varese non dispone solamente dello storico
ippodromo de “Le Bettole” che ospita
ogni anno la stagione di corse al galoppo.
Molti centri di equitazione consentono la
pratica degli sport equestri a vari livelli.
THE BETTOLE HIPPODROME
The long and passionate history that
links Varese to horse-riding was born
125 years ago when the first hippodrome
was inaugurated in the Casbeno
area.
The current structure, called the Bettole
hippodrome, began its activities in
September 1911, continuing to this day
with an interesting season of gallop races
that fills the calendar both in Winter
and in Summer months.
Not far from the city centre, the track
is immersed in greenery and represents
a pleasant oasis of tranquillity and enjoyment,
with the stands becoming a
traditional meeting place for enjoying
the competitive show and exchanging
gossip with friends and acquaintances.
Set against the background of the pre-
Alps, the race course provides a restaurant,
bar and a children’s playground,
giving both the racing fans and their
families and friends the opportunity to
enjoy quality time together in an original
way. An excellent occasion for Province
visitors as well!
But the historical “Le Bettole” racecourse
which annually hosts the racing season isn’t
the only one in Varese. There are many
other equestrian centres where the practice
of horse-riding sports at various levels
can be enjoyed.
