Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen.
Translation: Avril Bardoni
2
Libera me, Domine
Libera me, Domine, de morte aeterna, in die illa
tremenda:
quando coeli movendi sunt et terra.
Dum veneris judicare saeculum per ignem.
Tremens factus sum ego, et timeo,
dum discussio venerit atque ventura irae,
quando coeli movendi sunt et terra.
Dies irae, dies illa, calamitatis et miseriae,
dies magna et amara, valde.
Dum veneris judicare saeculum per ignem.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine:
et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Quattro pezzi sacri
3 1. Ave Maria
Ave Maria, gratia plena.
Dominus tecum, benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen.
4 2. Stabat Mater
Stabat Mater dolorosa
juxta Crucem lacrymosa,
dum pendebat Filius.
Libera me, Domine
Deliver me, O Lord, from death eternal on that fearful
day,
when the heavens and the earth shall be moved,
when thou shalt come to judge the world by fire.
I am made to tremble, and I fear,
till the judgement be upon us, and the coming wrath,
when the heavens and the earth shall be moved.
That day, day of wrath, calamity, and misery,
day of great and exceeding bitterness,
when thou shalt come to judge the world by fire.
Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord:
and let light perpetual shine upon them.
Four Sacred Pieces
1. Ave Maria
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and in the hour of our death.
Amen.
2. Stabat Mater
The sorrowful Mother wept
as she stood next to the cross,
on which her Son was hanging.
