essere consegnata a molteplici creatori sulla scorta di un
mutamento chiave della nostra contemporaneità: l’immagine,
oggi, ha imparato a fare a meno di un demiurgo.
Eccola, allora, la nuova carne: invisibile e inconsistente,
presente nell’assenza, divorata e incorporata da un presente
gassoso. Come l’entomologo che sarebbe dovuto
essere – ed è stato, ed è ancora, in altra forma – Cronenberg
continua ad analizzare e sezionare l’antimateria
del presente, ricombinandone i resti alla ricerca dell’asimmetria
che rende l’essere umano così molle, nudo e
permeabile alle intrusioni virali da lui stesso sintetizzate.
Tentare di comprenderne il percorso creativo significa
tentare di comprendere i nostri tempi.
