INTERNATIONAL FAIRSA Firenze, dal 16 al 19 giugno 2009In Florence, from 16 to 19 June 2009PITTI UOMO: CONTRO LA CRISI, QUALITÀTITOLO INGLESELa congiuntura economica sfavorevole ha influito su Pitti Uomo, ilsalone fiorentino de<strong>di</strong>cato alle collezioni abbigliamento-accessoriuomo, solo nei numeri ma non sulla qualità:“Nei quattro giorni delsalone (dal 16 al 19 giugno 2009) abbiamo percepito tanto impegnonel proporre una moda <strong>di</strong> qualità – è stato il commento <strong>di</strong>Raffaello Napoleone, amministratore delegato <strong>di</strong> Pitti Immagine - leaziende hanno presentato collezioni molto focalizzate sulla ricercadei materiali e sulla vestibilità, prodotti per un pubblico esigente e<strong>di</strong>sposto a spendere per il valore reale. Gli stessi espositori cihanno detto <strong>di</strong> aver incontrato buyer internazionali venuti aFirenze con un approccio positivo e concreto, che hanno lavoratointensamente per cercare i prodotti giusti per i loro negozi, che sisono seduti a tavolino per fare or<strong>di</strong>ni ed impegnare budget, sfidandolo stallo <strong>di</strong>ffuso dei consumi e scommettendo su una volontà<strong>di</strong>ffusa <strong>di</strong> ripresa”.Il numero finale delle presenze, anche se in flessione dell’8% rispettoall’ultima e<strong>di</strong>zione estiva, resta comunque <strong>di</strong>screto nel quadroeconomico attuale: 18.000 compratori, <strong>di</strong> cui 6000 dall’estero, conin testa paesi come Germania, Giappone, Spagna, Olanda, Francia,Gran Bretagna, Svizzera, Cina, Turchia… tutti sono rimasti sod<strong>di</strong>sfattidell’offerta messa in <strong>di</strong>splay dagli 889 marchi presenti (<strong>di</strong> cui276, il 31%, esteri) nel percorso espositivo del classico, informale eavant-garde del salone e nelle aree de<strong>di</strong>cate <strong>di</strong> New Beats (giovanimarchi d’avanguar<strong>di</strong>a) e Welcome to my House (streetwear),come d’altronde della formula caratteristica della manifestazioneche abbina moda a Cultura, con una serie <strong>di</strong> eventi speciali inFortezza da Basso e nelle prestigiose location della città <strong>di</strong> Firenze.Tra i più significativi dell’e<strong>di</strong>zione, I “Pitti people”, installazione alcentro della Fortezza con le foto dei frequentatori della manifestazione;“Undercover” l’ospite speciale <strong>di</strong> Pitti Uomo con un eventoa cura del designer Jun Takahashi nella cornice del Giar<strong>di</strong>no <strong>di</strong>Boboli; il debutto <strong>di</strong> S+arck with Ballantyne, con un evento inStazione Leopolda che celebra la prima collezione realizzata daPhilippe Starck per Ballantyne e il lancio della collezione uomo <strong>di</strong>Mila Schön, con la mostra “M as Mila” che festeggia i 50 anni delbrand nello spazio della Palazzina Presidenziale.La moda espressa dalle collezioni, lancia un uomo in bilico tra suggestionid’antan e rinnovata voglia <strong>di</strong> comfort, con linee morbide easciutte, materiali all’insegna della leggerezza e tanta voglia <strong>di</strong> colore,forse per contrastare il grigiore dei tempi… Il Classico si ispiraall’heritage, con atmosfere soft-chic mescolate a toni rétro, traRiviera d’antan e sport blasonati della tra<strong>di</strong>zione. L’Informale haun’anima high tech e sguardo al mare, tra spiaggia, barca a vela esurf. Suggestioni vintage dagli sport blasonati e attenzione all’ecocompatibilitàdei materiali. L’avant-garde, più edonista, gioca inmodo ironico a citare i Seventies, a Capri e St Tropez d’antan, almondo del giar<strong>di</strong>naggio e la natura: gli aspetti sono leggermentevissuti e l’attenzione al dettaglio si fa maniacale.A questi tre stili si adattano <strong>calzature</strong> <strong>di</strong> look classico e pellamiPitti Uomo, the de<strong>di</strong>cated Florentine showroom for men’s clothingand accessories collections, saw the effects of the unfavourable economicsituation in the numbers present but certainly not in the quality.“Inthe four days of the showroom (from 16 to 19 June 2009), wesaw a real commitment to top quality fashions,” commented RaffaelloNapoleone, Managing Director of Pitti Immagine. “Companiesfocused on presenting collections in select and highly wearable materialsproduced for a deman<strong>di</strong>ng public willing to spend a little morefor real value.The exhibitors themselves told us that they met internationalbuyers who came to Florence with a positive and determinedattitude, who worked hard to find the right products for theirstores and sat around a table to place orders and invest their budget,defying the widespread consumer crisis and betting on a commondesire for recovery.”The final attendance figure, although 8% less than at last summer’sevent, was nonetheless reassuring considering the current economicsituation: 18,000 buyers, 6,000 of them from overseas, headed byGermany, Japan, Spain, Holland, France, Great Britain, Switzerland,China, Turkey… all were extremely happy with the products <strong>di</strong>splayedby the 889 labels (of which 276 from abroad, 31%), in theclassic, informal and cutting-edge sections of the showroom and thede<strong>di</strong>cated areas of New Beats (young, cutting edge brands) andWelcome to my House (street wear).Visitors were also fascinated bythe exhibition’s characteristic formula that teams fashion and culture,in a series of special events held in the Fortezza da Basso and in prestigiouslocations around the city of Florence. One of the most significantevents was the “Pitti people” <strong>di</strong>splay in the centre of theFortezza showing photos of those atten<strong>di</strong>ng the exhibition;“Undercover”, Pitti Uomo’s special guest with an event created bydesigner Jun Takahashi against the backdrop of the Boboli Gardens;the debut of S+ark with Ballantyne with an event at the LeopoldaStation culture centre that celebrated the first collection created byPhilippe Starck for Ballantyne and the launch of the men’s collectionby Mila Schön, with the “M as Mila” <strong>di</strong>splay to celebrate the brand’s50th birthday in the Presidential Palace.The collections’ style launches a man who hovers between vintageand a renewed desire for comfort, in soft clean lines, lightweightmaterials and lots of colour, perhaps to contrast the currently greyscenario… Classic is inspired by heritage, in soft-chic atmospheremixed with retro shades, between vintage Riviera and sports ennobledby tra<strong>di</strong>tion. Casual wear has a high tech soul and focuses on thesea, boats and beaches, sailing and surfing. These collections areinspired by tra<strong>di</strong>tionally aristocratic sports and great attention hasbeen paid to the eco-friendliness of materials. Cutting edge collectionsare far more ‘pleasure seeking’, playing ironically with Seventiesreferences, Capri and the St. Tropez era, the gardening world andnature: styles are slightly <strong>di</strong>stressed and there is manic attention todetail.These three styles are teamed with classic footwear in <strong>di</strong>stressedIDEA PELLE22

For sport and leisure, footwear comes in linen and leather andtakes inspiration from work-wear or a retro style.
