Disabling the o<strong>per</strong>ation buttons and the touch panel<br />
You can protect the player against accidental o<strong>per</strong>ation by using the HOLD<br />
switch when carrying it.<br />
HOLD switch<br />
To lock the player<br />
Slide the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow .<br />
The o<strong>per</strong>ation buttons and touch panel are disabled and<br />
the information area ( page 13).<br />

Hint<br />
You can also lock the touch panel only, keeping the o<strong>per</strong>ation buttons enabled ( page<br />
123).<br />
To unlock the player<br />
Slide the HOLD switch in the opposite direction of the arrow .<br />
The o<strong>per</strong>ation buttons and touch panel are enabled and on the<br />
information area ( page 13) disappears.<br />
Note<br />
You cannot use the touch panel while the player is locked. If you press any button of the<br />
player while it is locked, appears on the information area.
