The point of departure and inspiration in this case was Braille paper, characterized by a profound three-dimensionality and capacity to imbue the labels of the collection with a sophisticated carapace which renders the yarns very thin and in relief. Budapest and the sharp contrasts between its historic past and the present served as the point of departure for the autumnwinter 1919/20 collection. The evocative embroidery work manages to incarnate emotions, tell stories and inspire dreams. The general need for more romanticism, commercial considerations and the needs of the customers are all given appropriate consideration in order to strike a harmonious balance and that’s why the collection was called In Tune. The relaxed, no-frills, half-asleep quality of Budapest makes it very pleasant to stroll around in this fascinating city. Architecturally, it’s a lavish piece of jewelry, composed of Romanesque, Gothic and Turkish styles. The city is one giant source of inspiration in terms of classic forms and design elements. Dazzled by the contrast between the historic old buildings, gold and luxury seem to get the upper hand, dominating all the rest.
