Project inspired by the work of Hermann Von Helmholtz, a so-called
homo universalis of the late ‘800, scientist, physicist, doctor, professor and
multidisciplinary inventor. His research on perception, behavior of fluids,
optics, acoustics are still considered current today or the founding basis
of further important discoveries. Among his inventions are resonators, an
instrument that develops self-resonant frequencies that allow the harmonics
of a specific sound to be recognized, corresponding to the size and shape
of the resonator itself. “Helmholtz” is a small family of domestic resonators,
little animals, a tribute to the work and studies of this great scholar.
