Indeed, the G20 world leaders for the first time, in 2012 recognised the importance of Travel & Tourism as a driver of jobs, growth and economic recovery. This year, at ITB Berlin, the announcement of the presence at the opening ceremony of Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono confirm the critical nature of this sector and the subsequent importance of ITB Berlin as a guiding light for the industry. As partner country of ITB Berlin this year, Indonesia is in many ways leading the field in terms of innovative marketing. (see interview – Hon.
