Problem and possible causes<br />
The fryer does not work<br />
• The thermostat is on ( * ).<br />
• The safety system is operating.<br />
• The control unit is not correctly positioned.<br />
The frying oil overflows<br />
• The Max. marker for filling the bowl has been<br />
exceeded.<br />
•Food is wet or contains too much water<br />
(frozen food).<br />
• The basket was lowered too quickly into the<br />
oil.<br />
• Different types of oil/fat have been mixed.<br />
• Cooking fresh chips at 180°/190° for the first<br />
fry.<br />
• The cooking time was too short.<br />
•The cooking temperature is too low.<br />
• The frying basket is overloaded.<br />
The chips stick together<br />
•Unwashed food immersed in hot oil.<br />
•Burnt crumbs are stuck to the Clean Oil<br />
System.<br />
•Not changing the oil often enough<br />
•Unsuitable oil or fat has been used.<br />
• The indicator light does not come on.<br />

The food does not become golden, and remains soft<br />

•Turn the thermostat to the selected temperature.<br />
• Press the “reset” button, which is located at the<br />
back of the fryer. If the problem persits, please<br />
contact our Customer Relations Team.<br />
•To prevent this, use the guide slots to correctly<br />
position the control unit.<br />
•Check the oil level (Max.), and remove the<br />
excess.<br />
•Fry the food in small quantities (particularly<br />
frozen food).<br />
Remove any ice and dry the food thoroughly.<br />
•Lower the basket slowly and keep a close eye on<br />
the oil level.<br />
• Empty and clean the bowl. Refill the bowl with<br />
one type of oil (see page 3).<br />
• It is important to double-fry freshly made chips<br />
(see page 5 and 6).<br />
•Increase cooking time.<br />
•Set the thermostat to the recommended<br />
temperature.<br />
•Fry the food in small quantities<br />
•Wash potatoes well and dry them thoroughly.<br />
• Wash the Clean Oil System.<br />
•Renew the oil after 8 to 12 uses (see page 3) or<br />
more frequently depending on the oil.<br />
• Use a good quality vegetable oil (see page 3).<br />
