Program modes in VELUX Active climate controlThe controller receives signals from the wireless sensors that measure theoutdoor temperature and the solar radiation. Based on these measured values,it is determined whether- to screen the windows of the building either to avoid overheating duringthe day or retain the heat at night.- not to screen the windows of the building either to gain solar heat duringthe day or cool the building at night.The sensors send signals to the controller every 5 minutes which enables theprogram mode that - with the given values - optimises the energy balance ofthe building to the highest degree.The display of the controller shows the current program mode. On receivingthe signals from the sensors, the program mode - and thus the display -changes correspondingly.Note: The program modes are expected to change a few times daily only.10 VELUX ENGLISH
There are four program modes:Day:The sunscreening products are down. The building isscreened from the solar rays which prevents overheating.The sunscreening products are up. Solar heat is gainedwhich contributes to the heating of the building.Night:The sunscreening products are up. Surplus heat is releasedfrom the building.The sunscreening products are down. The heat loss isreduced which contributes positively to the energy balanceof the building.Even if the sunscreening products are controlled by thecontroller, you can still operate them with another activationcontrol such as remote control KLR <strong>100</strong>.
