E vocês o que fazem quando estão em tour, têm
sempre a mesma dieta?
J-Wow: Apenas há mais vodka (risos).
Kalaf: Com o andar dos dias e o cansaço vai-se aumentando
a dose de álcool, é simples.
Insisto nisto da felicidade, estando em dia ‘não’
quando entram no palco sentem que a vossa música
faz por vocês aquilo que faz pelas restantes
pessoas?
Kalaf: Não podemos esquecer um fator importante que
é o público e mesmo estando em dias ‘não’, a verdade
é que quando pisamos um palco não podemos ou devemos
pensar naquilo que deixamos para trás, temos
de nos dedicar ao máximo, dar o nosso melhor para
aquele público que está ali a ouvir-nos.
E quando o público é quase inexistente, como por
exemplo quando tiveram 10 pessoas a ouvirem-vos
em Moscovo?
Kalaf: É complicado, mas aquelas pessoas estão ali para
nos ouvir e então vamos tentar dar-lhes o concerto
da vida delas.
J-Wow: Mas é mais difícil.
Kalaf: Sim, é difícil, mas tentamos. E às vezes o que é
mais difícil é aquele olhar de pena no rosto deles em
relação a nós do tipo, ‘tu sabes que estou aqui e estou
com pena de ti’.
J-Wow: é tipo aquele DJ que ninguém vai ver e depois
a namorada farta-se de dançar à frente. Se fosse minha
namorada diria: ‘saí daí, não preciso de compaixão (risos)‘.
Mas a verdade é que não aconteceu assim tantas
vezes termos dez pessoas. Nessa vez de que falas, em
Moscovo, estariam umas vinte pessoas. O que acontece
mais vezes é estares com uma certa expectativa e
depois o concerto não corresponde, mas por vezes tem
a ver com situações que nos ultrapassam e que possa
ter a ver com os promotores ou algo do género.
E não acontece teres a sala cheia e sentirem que as
pessoas não estão na vossa onda, não absorvem a
vossa música?
Kalaf: Não, isso não acontece. Nem tanto pela nossa
música mas acima de tudo pela nossa performance. Há

And you what do you do when you are on
tour; have you always the same diet?
J-Wow: Just more vodka (laughter)
Kalaf: As days and tiredness go by we increase
the dose of alcohol, it’s just simple.
I insist on this happiness, being in a
negative day when you go on stage you
feel that your music does for you what
does for the other people?
Kalaf: We must not forget that audience is
the main factor and even in negative days,
the truth is when we step the stage we cannot
or we mustn’t think about what we left
behind, we have to be the most dedicated
people, to give our best to the audience
who is there to see us.
And when the public is almost non-existent,
as for example when you had 10
people listening to you in Moscow?
Kalaf: It’s difficult, but those people are
there to listen to us and then we will try to
give them the concert of their lives.
J-Wow: But it is more difficult.
Kalaf: Yes, it is difficult, but we try. And
sometimes what is more difficult is that
look of pity on their faces looking at us
like ‘you know that I am here and I feel
sorry for you’.
J-Wow: It’s like that DJ that nobody wants
to see and then his girlfriend is dancing
all night in front of him. If she was my
girlfriend I would say: ‘get out of there,
I don’t need your sympathy (laughter)’.
But the truth is that it did not happen so
many times with ten people. That time
you described, in Moscow, there would be
some twenty people. What happens often
is to be with a certain expectation and later
the concert didn’t meet the expectations,
but sometimes this is beyond us and can be
related to promoters or something else.
Have you ever felt when you have full
house that people are not in your tune,
not absorbing your music?
Kalaf: No, that doesn’t happen. Not so
much by our music but above all by our
performance. There are other groups that
have very interesting songs, but then on
