abstract The present work aims to be a comparative study of the<br />
clinical value of results between two methods for the<br />
laboratory diagnosis of allergic disease, the method<br />
ImmunoCAP IgE ISAC (Immuno Solid Phase Allergen<br />
Chip) and the traditional method ELISA (Enzyme Linked<br />
Immunosorbent Assay) specific IgE <strong>de</strong>termination. In<br />
a sample population of individuals with ISAC`s<br />
requests, was carried out the assay of specific IgE<br />
antibodies by ELISA`s method to assess the support of<br />
both methods in the diagnosis of allergic disease. By<br />
ISAC`s method, was possible to i<strong>de</strong>ntify patients with<br />
cross-reactivity, that would have gone unnoticed by<br />
the ELISA`s method.<br />
