This study aimed <strong>to</strong> analyze the contribution of e-commerce <strong>Business</strong> <strong>to</strong><br />
<strong>Business</strong> (B2B) in the management of supply chains, identifying the key<br />
processes that have evolved through such <strong>to</strong>ols in the operations of large<br />
corporations in Brazil, highlighting its advantages and disadvantages within<br />
the supply chain. The Internet has revolutionized the way of communication<br />
and way of <strong>do</strong>ing business between companies, providing faster transactions<br />
and less costly. Understanding the impact of electronic commerce in<br />
managing supply chains and business networks, which has been established<br />
as a new way of organizing production <strong>to</strong> increase competitiveness of<br />
business, it appears in the study of fun<strong>da</strong>mental importance. For this,<br />
researchers are authors who discuss <strong>to</strong>pics such as e-business, e-<br />
commerce, logistics, procurement, supply chain management, networks and<br />
business models and competitive advantages. Based on theoretical lifted,<br />
held a field research type survey based on questionnaires with forms<br />
available on the Internet, <strong>to</strong> evaluate the contributions of B2B e-commerce in<br />
managing supply chains. Ten companies in the metropolitan region of São<br />
Paulo thase use B2B applications participated in the survey, nine large<br />
companies and one small business. Among several results, it was found that<br />
B2B e-commerce is established as an important support <strong>to</strong> the management<br />
of supply chains or networks of enterprises, improving the relationship<br />
between partners, information exchange and transactions between<br />
companies involved contributing <strong>to</strong> the integration of all its elements and<br />
increasing the potential for competitiveness.
