FUNDING
A Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (FCG) financia as
infraestruturas e plataformas tecnológicas de ponta
do IGC.
Cada grupo do IGC é responsável por assegurar o
financiamento dos seus projetos de investigação. Os
investigadores são apoiados pela Equipa de Financiamentos
em Ciência, na identificação das oportunidades
mais apropriadas, de forma a maximizarem
os financiamentos públicos e privados disponíveis
em vários programas nacionais e internacionais.
O IGC desenvolve também iniciativas de angariação
de fundos com o setor privado e o público em
geral, com o objetivo de aumentar o financiamento
da ciência.
The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation
supports the state-of-the-art equipment
and services available at the IGC.
Each IGC research group is responsible
for ensuring funding for their research
projects and group members. Researchers
are supported by the Research
Funding Affairs Team in identifying the
best-suited funding opportunities, in
order to maximize available government
and private funding, from various
national and international programmes.
Fundraising initiatives with the private
sector and the general public have also
been developed at the IGC to increase
science funding.

maior do que o de há 10 anos atrás devido
a um aumento significativo do financiamento
externo obtido através de concursos
competitivos, nacionais e internacionais.
The total budget of the institute is now roughly
three times higher than 10 years ago due to increased
external funding obtained through competitive
national and international calls.
